What a crazy first 2 weeks in the NFL. You only have 6 teams without a win and 6 teams without a loss. Everyone else is sitting 1-1. I don’t think anyone could have predicted such a close start to the season. I didn’t have much time this week to look into the matchups but I still feel good about some of these games.
If anyone is wondering, I am a big fantasy guy. I have 10 fantasy teams this
season and it helps me keep up to date with all the teams. I don’t really have a favourite team but I am just a big NFL fan in general. I listen to as much NFL podcasts as I can and I take in everything they talk about. I read articles from all the main football sources.
Each week I will also inform you guys about the Proline Spread and what I will be doing with my tickets. I have yet to purchase my tickets so unfortunately I will not be doing it this week. So with that, here are my picks for week 3 and I have added some quick notes about each game.
NYG vs CAR – This Thursday night game should be a fast paced, high scoring game. With the Superbowl champs back in the spotlight, they will be playing the Panthers. I can’t believe the Giants are winless and my prediction is that they lose tonight. Why? Injuries...Bradshaw and Nicks are both out for this game. Who you gonna call? Victor Cruz and Andre Brown? If they can’t bring their A game, expect the Panthers to run away with this one at home. My Pick: Panthers

STL vs CHI – I don’t think Jay Cutler will ever say “Good Luck” again. After last week’s whooping from Green Bay I have believed more than ever that Cutler will never be an elite quarterback. Expect Bush to do the majority of work as Forte is out with a high ankle sprain. The Rams got a free win last week and I don’t think they will be able to keep up with the bears. That being said, their defence has been surprisingly good but da bears defence is a much safer bet. My Pick: Bears
BUF vs CLE – Cleveland is trying to shock the world! They have been staying in games much longer than anyone expected. I mean, CMON MAN! They almost beat the Eagles in week 1. That being said, they are still a team that lacks the most important
position, a QB. The bills played well last week at home but their not exactly the best team on the road. Lucky for them, it’s the browns and they have enough depth to beat the Browns. My Pick: Bills
TB vs DAL – It is safe to say that this will be a great game as America’s team finally has home field advantage. The Bucs have looked good this season and they are coming off a big win against the Giants. After the smacking Dallas got from the Seahawks in week 2, expect a flawless game from the Cowboys. I believe in Romo this year, the guy is a daddy now and you can tell from his maturity this season. I don’t think this will be a close game. My Pick: Cowboys
JAC vs IND - The struggles continue for the Jaguars. They don’t have a reliable QB and the Colts do. Luck got his first win of his short NFL career and expect him to continue his streak this weekend. I’m calling it now, he throws for over 350 yards and Wayne will have 2 TD’s. My Pick: Colts
NYJ vs MIA – Sanchez no longer has his reliable TE Keller for his 3rd down conversions. I can’t see this being a high scoring game but the Jets did put 48 up against the Bills in week one and last week Miami put up 35 against the Raiders. I think the Jets have enough talent to get by the rebuilding Dolphins. Can Reggie Bush be the difference? I don’t think so. My Pick: Jets
SF vs MIN – This is an easy one. As much as I like the Vikings, they don’t have the depth to beat SF. Harvin can’t put the team on his back this week. My Pick: SF
KC vs NO – I fully expect a blow out for this game. The Saints are 0-2 on the season which is a shocker. This game is a must win for them. The Chiefs are struggling equally but they don’t have the offense the Saints do. I see this game being a typical Saints game. Close at half but then they never look back. My Pick: Saints
DET vs TEN – I am weighing this game with the two struggling from both teams. You have Matt Stafford and Chris Johnson. I believe in Stafford. My Pick: Detroit
CIN vs WAS – The Bengals have looked decent as they head into this game. AJ Green continues to impress and Dalton is still growing into a NFL QB. The real X-Factor in this game will be RGIII. If he can continue to perform the way he has in the first 2 weeks, expect the Redskins to walk away with this one. They blew their game last week with a stupid penalty so I am sure they will play a disciplined game this week. I hope we see Garcon on the field this weekend. My Pick: Redskins
PHI vs ARI – A great performance last week by Vick but the Cardinals defense is rock solid. I question the Cardinals offense and I don’t think they can put up the numbers to beat the Eagles. Should be a close game but something has got to give with the Cardinals sooner or later. My Pick: Eagles
ATL vs SD – Both of these teams that are throwing well. Atlanta looked great in the Monday night game against the Broncos. The Chargers are finally a threat again and I think this game will come down to a final drive. The team with the ball last will win this game. Going with the Falcons as Matt Ryan and his no huddle offense will win the game in the final 2 minutes.
My Pick: Falcons
HOU vs DEN – If this game was in Houston, it would be an easy call. But Manning at home is scary. Manning got picked off three times in the first quarter last week on the road. I can guarantee Manning will be much more cautious with the ball this week and I think he will keep it close with the power house Texans who currently have the best pass defence in the league. I love the backfield for the Texans so I think Tate and Foster will have it their way in this game. My Pick: Texans
PIT vs OAK – I was expecting the Raiders to be decent this year, but they have started off 0-2 and now I have doubts. On the other side of the football, Big Ben has looked amazing. He breaks tackles and makes it look easy. This is a no brainer and my LOCK OF THE WEEK! My Pick: Steelers
NE vs BAL – I have to say, I did not watch the Patriots lose to Arizona but I think the Ravens can give them their second loss of the season. Patriots head into the loud Ravens den with a struggling offense. The crowd will make it hard for them to do anything. Ray Lewis will have it out for Brady and I am thinking this comes down to a field goal. Expect this to be the game of the week. I believe in the Ravens so my pick might have some bias but I learned last week to pick the home team in a toss up.
My Pick: Ravens
GB vs SEA – Seattle looked great at home last week against Dallas. That 12th man is huge. That being said, the Packers defence was incredible against DA Bears last week. I think this will be closer than people think but in the end, Green Bay has too much depth. My Pick: Green Bay
BUF vs CLE – Cleveland is trying to shock the world! They have been staying in games much longer than anyone expected. I mean, CMON MAN! They almost beat the Eagles in week 1. That being said, they are still a team that lacks the most important
