613u.com presents our new weekly feature by Joe Random "Fantasy Football Likes & "Diss" Check here each week before you must make those difficult lineup decisions. See which players J.R. thinks will "Trick" you, and which will "Treat" you, during this spooky week 8 NFL schedule.
With Halloween right around the corner another week of "likes' and "diss likes" is here scarier then ever with six teams on a bye. While all the kids are getting excited for the sugar rush there about to experience for the next couple of weeks your scrambling in your head trying to figure out who you should start and sit this week. I'm hoping my fantasy advice makes those tough decisions a little easier.
This weeks byes are the Chicago Bears, Tennissee Titans, Indyapolis Colts, San-Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans.
Quarterbacks i "like" in week 8
Michael Vick, Eagles: Coming off the hamstring injury i don't expect the rushing yards to be there but going against a poor Giants defense i see Vick having a solid fantasy day. I put him to finish in the top 10 for fantasy quarterbacks.
Geno Smith, Jets: Now with this pick its risky because hes going up against a good Bangles defense but with that being said there's no Leon Hall and Geno in his last five games has put up three 20 fantasy point games in standard format leagues.
Carson Palmer, Cardinals: Another risky pick but hes going up against the Falcons who give up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
Other Mentions:
RG3, Redskins: Hes going to be playing from behind all game
Quarterbacks i "diss like" in week 8
Andy Dalton, Bengals: Although Dalton has had two great fantasy weeks in a row i'm not liking his match-up this week against a very good Jets defense. Look for a lowing scoring affair. With Geno he can run!.
Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers: Here's something you would'n expect anyone to say but the Raiders defense is actually not bad. Oakland average's one and a half touchdowns against to opposing quarterbacks. Big Ben could have his hands full.
Eli Manning, Giants: Until he can prove himself in fantasy and the real world i would stash him somewhere on your bench or even say goodbye to him because he's been awful this year and i don't see any change in the near future.
Other Mentions:
Tom Brady, Patriots: Miami hasn't allowed a touchdown to a wide receiver this year.
Running backs i "like" in week 8
Eddie Lacy, Packers: Lets face it Minnesota gave up a touchdown to Peyton Hillis?? Yeah! The same Hillis that was on his couch a week ago and hasn't played good since 2011.So expect more from Lacy who in recent weeks has been getting a lot better.
Fred Jackson, Bills: Spiller is still banged up so look for Jackson to carry the load. The Saints give up 5.1 yards a carry to opposing running backs. I put him in the top 10 for fantasy running backs this week.
Roy Helu Jr, Redskins: Hes there guy in the red zone, in the no huddle and on third down. In this game Washington will probably be playing from behind so you know what that means?, Helu gets the passing touches.
Other Mentions:
Lamar Miller, Dolphins: New England's defense is banged up. They didn't look very good against the run last week.
Running backs i "diss like" in week 8
Maurice Jones-Drew, Jaguars: Again like last week he just hasn't been the MJD we know of. Going up against a tough 49ers defense don't expect much from him.
BJGE, Bangles: Like i said about this game earlier i don't see this game being a high scoring game and with Bernard there taking away from Green-Ellis's touches hes bound for a miserable day.
Other Mentions:
Willis McGahee, Browns: KC's defense is GOOD!
CJ Spiller, Bills: He might not even play and even if he does i wouldn't trust starting him this week.
Wide Receivers i "like" in week 8
Kenny Stills, Saints: Graham could be out for this game and with Marques Colston unable to create space i see stills targets going up this week.
Michael Floyd, Cardinals: You can throw on Atlanta who gives up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers and Floyd has had five catches in his past four games.
Jarrett Boykins, Packers: Boykins is legit, he has the ability to make big plays. With Arron Rogers throwing to him he has great upside, not to mention Minnesota is ranked 29th versus the pass. Jones and Finley could be out as well i really "LIKE" him this week.
Other Mentions:
Terrance Williams, Cowboys: A touchdown in three straight games.
Wide Receivers i "diss like" in week 8
Dwayne Bowe, Chiefs: This is usually the case with Bowe on a weekly basis so this is a no brainer hes going up against JOE HADEN. DON'T DO IT.
Donariius Moore, Raiders: Three scores in four games but hes matched up against Ike Taylor and Pittsburg's defense is good.
Any New England wide receiver's: Lets face it Brady and the Pats offense has been struggling and going up against the only team to not allow a touchdown to a wide receiver this year doesn't boast well for them.
Tight Ends i "like" in week 8
Tony Gonzalez, Falcons: The Cardinals give up the most points to opposing tight ends in fantasy. Only Jordan Cameron gets more end zone targets then Gonzalez. Look for a big game from the vet.
Jordan Reed, Redskins: Facing Denver RG3 will have to throw the ball and Reed should benefit from this. Denver is bottom five in giving up fantasy points to tight ends.
Heath Miller, Steelers: He has 70 yards or a score in his last three games.
Joseph Fouria, Lions: Hes a legit end zone threat.
Tight Ends i "diss like" in week 8
Jared Cook, Rams: Averaging fewer then 35 yards a game since week two he should not be owned in any standard fantasy leagues.
Brandon Myers, Giants: Stop it already!. He just shouldn't be owned.
Defense's i "like" in week 8
Philidelphia Eagles: Going up against Eli Manning!.
Pittsburg Steelers: Oakland's offense isn't exactly scary.
Green Bay Packers: Minnesota has a lot of problems on there offense look for the Packers defense to capitalize.
Defense s i diss like in week 8
Cleveland Browns: Alex Smith just doesnt turn the ball over.
Buffalo Bills: Going up against New Orleans Buffalo will have a hard time keeping them out of the end zone.
Any defense that goes up against Denver!.
Happy Halloween everyone! Be sure to check back each week for my LIKES and DISS LIKES!.
