#5 VCU vs #4 MICHIGAN - The first game of the day should be one of the best. The super talented Wolverines go against the super coached VCU Rams. Does Michigan have the discipline and the composure to hanlde VCU's pressure defense? My Pick: VCU
#6 MEMPHIS vs #3 MICHIGAN STATE - Great matchup. Tom Izzo is never someone I want to go against come tournament time but Memphis is underrated in my opinion and have the athletes to give the Spartans a good test. Players to watch: DJ Stephens & Adonis Thomas (MEM) Keith Appling & Derrick Nix (MSU). My Pick: Memphis
#8 COLORADO ST vs #1 LOUISVILLE - Louisville looked very impressive in their first game. Colorado State is a complete team with enough skill to test Louisville. However in the end I think the Rams will come up short. My Pick: Louisville
#14 HARVARD vs #6 ARIZONA - Arizona shouldn't be underestimated. Mark Lyons an Nick Johnson are very good players and Sean Miller is an excellent coach with tournament experience. The luck should run out for Harvard but that doesn't mean I won't be cheering for the geek squad. My Pick: Arizona
#12 OREGON vs #4 SAINT LOUIS - Oregon, the best #12 seed in tournament history, defeated Oklahoma State in convincing fashion however Saint Louis should be a different kind of test. Saint Louis runs their sets like a pro team, rarely failing to get a good look or execute properly on offense. They have depth in the front court and experience and talent in their backcourt with Senior Guard Kwamain Mitchell. My Pick: Saint Louis
#6 BUTLER vs #3 MARQUETTE - I don't want to say it because I love Buzz Williams and always am cheering for Marquette but the problem is I dont think they are very good. They are tough and play hard together however aside from Evander Blue they aren't diverse enough on offense (like many other Big East teams). Brad Stevens will find a way to steal another win and another trip to the Sweet 16. My Pick: Butler
#9 WICHITA ST vs #1 GONZAGA - The Bulldogs had most of their fans hearts racing in their first game. Hopefully the jitters are now out of the way as a much more talented Wichita State is up next. Gonzaga's size and rebounding should prove to be the difference as the Shockers don't have many bodies to compete with Olynyk, Harris, and Dower. However don't be surprised if this one comes down to the last few minutes as well. My Pick: Gonzaga
#12 CALIFORNIA vs #4 SYRACUSE - Syracuse can beat anyone. Syracuse can also lose to anyone. This makes them a tough team to pick however I don't think CAL has enough shooting to compensate for Cuse's 2-3 zone. Too bad UNLV couldn't handle CAL as that would've been a matchup I'd enjoy watching much more. My Pick: Syracuse
